Sometimes a director becomes known for a certain kind of film or a certain genre. When the names, Spike Lee and Steven Soderbergh are mentioned - you probably don't think of touching coming-of-age films... It's probably a big reason neither Crooklyn nor King of the Hill found an audience when originally released. But these two films are among the finest from either director. They both are recommended.
